On July 18, 2019, the SDG Student Hub: University of Adelaide supported the educational event SEVENTEENx, which showcased some of Adelaide’s most innovative individuals, entrepreneurs and leading organizations.
On June 12, 2019, the SDG Student Hub: University of Ibadan, in Nigeria, participated in an educational activity in the context of the country’s Democracy Day. Reflector Africa, a fellow youth organization, invited the SDG Student Hub to discuss the theme “Throwback to the Future of Democracy in Nigeria”.
On May 22, 2019, the SDG Student Hub: Monash University in Australia conducted “The Sustainable Development Goals and You” - an event to educate students about the SDGs on campus. The event was aimed at increasing knowledge within the student community of Monash University of the opportunities available for students to engage with the SDGs on campus.
On May 17, 2019, the SDG Student Hub: University of Ibadan partnered with the Center for Sustainable Development (CESDEV) to host an orientation event for their Hub Members and for the West African Research and Innovation Management Association (WARIMA). They discussed SDSN Youth’s work and the SDG Students Program, the role of students in achieving the SDGs, and the importance of research in problem solving.
On May 15, 2019, the SDG Student Hub: Kathmandu University conducted an activity focused on SDG 5 named Khulla Aakash. It was an open discussion on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), partnering with guest facilitators from “Yuwa”, a youth-led organization.
